B & G Produce Cooking Class - Thursday, August 12, 7pm at DISHES

$20. Matt & Lindy Geraets will bring in fresh produce from the garden and demonstrate, teach and you taste and learn how to best use locally produced and seasonal foods. Class is limited to 15 people and must be at least 21 years old, since wine will be available for sale. Register with payment to save your spot at DISHES, 740 E. Sioux from 11am-6pm Monday through Friday. We intend to hold a second class in September with September produce!

Summer Grab & Go's

We are continuing to make up good meals that you'll like based on what ingredients we have that are fresh, good, and appealing to us. In August we're going to focus on making sure something good is in our refrigerator for you to take home and make tonight...as well as our frozen meals. Come on by.

Summer Special

We would like to build our salad bar business for dinner time for your to grab on your way home. We're going to offer double punches on your Salad Bar card from 4-6pm daily, Monday through Friday and also remind you we are open on Saturday from 11-2- so we'll double punch then as well. After 10 punches, you get your 11th salad free. So - come by in the evening and on Saturday, and you'll get there fast!

Newbie Special

There are still people who haven't tried Dishes Salad Bar, Sandwiches and Soup. Can you believe it? You can change that and both benefit. Bring in a Newbie and you'll both get an extra punch on your Salad Bar card!

DISHES/Prairie Pages Cookbook Club

we're meeting this Tuesday at 6:30pm at Dishes - bring something you made to share and come hungry - these are the Cookbooks we're studying: America's Test Kitchen, Healthy Breads in 5 Minutes a Day, and Southern Living Farmer's Market. All welcome, no charge (just need to share and eat!)

Grassland Gourmet & Gifts

The girls from Onida have been busy - and they've come up with four new wonderful products...we'll be featuring some in June when you come into Dishes, so watch for them. We carry their products because we love that they come up with great ideas that taste wonderful, are inexpensive, and are local (Onida is local to us!).   • Wednesday, July 28 - planning a Prosecco night at 7pm with Lynne Cookbook Club,

  • Classes - yes, I know it's been a couple of months, but I've been training for this bike trip. We'll have classes in August! Promise.

The Chocolate Mint sugar is what we used at Carrie's PARS party - we made pumpkin angel food cake, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and lightly sprinkled with the Chocolate Mint sugar...but when I placed my order, I was told about gingerbread sugar - which would have been wonderful on the dessert as well.
